NE Area Pre-Rally: June 29-July 2, 2010.  Bob Burnham is hosting an SI Pre-rally before the Northeast Area rally from June 29 - July 2 at the Burlington Elks Lodge. Make a donation to the Elks for three nights of dry parking. Contact Bob Burnham at e-mail below or call 603  762-0172.

The location for our NEAR pre-rally has been changed to the  Elks Lodge in Burlington VT, same dates, Tuesday, June 29 to Friday July  2. A choice of two sight-seeing trips by car are planned for Wednesday.   Trip 1 is a 200 mile ride around Lake Champlain while Trip 2 is a 100 mile trip through the Champlain Islands, returning to Burlington by way of  St. Albans.  For the first fifty miles, both trips follow the same  route, north along the Vermont shore, then following US Route 2 through  the Champlain Islands to Rouses Point, New York. There, trip 1 continues  south on the west (New York) side of the lake, while trip 2 reverses direction toward Swanton VT and then southerly to St. Albans on the way back to Burlington.   Full itineraries will be provided for you.  On Thursday, a visit to the Shelburne Museum is planned.  See www.shelburnemuseum.org  for a  description of what you can expect there. Drections to the Elks Lodge, 925 North Ave., Burlington VT.  Interstate 89,  Exit 14W (US route 2 west, Main Street).  Get into the center lane as soon  as you can, and stay in that lane.  The right lane is for turns only.  Go  about 1.7 miles on Main Street, turn right on to Battery Street, and then a  left where Battery must turn left or right.  Bear to the right on to North  Avenue.  The Elks club is 1.7 miles on the left.  The Elks driveway is the  third driveway on the left after the traffic lights at the junction with SR  127.  Look for an SI sign at the driveway.

Breakfast and supper meals are  planned, but in the interest of an early start and later return on  Wednesday, none are planned that day. At the least, we will have a welcoming  supper Tuesday and a breakfast Thursday.

1000 Islands Rally:  August 3-12, 2010  Come and visit the beautiful 1000 Islands in New York State on the St Lawrence River.  The north side of the river is Canada, so you might want to be sure and bring your passport--there’s lots to see and do on both sides of the river.  You may come for one day or ten, but do come.  Full details will be posted later.  Contact Bob Burnham for details, directions and rally fee.  603-762-0172  Webmasters note:  Look for the brown cottage I used to own in Densmore Bay of Wellesley Island on the Americn Channel. Sold it in 2000 and bought a motorhome.

Sternwheel Festival: September 10-12, 210, Marietta, OH  This is Alice’s annual rally--a wonderful clelebration with Sternwheeler races (paddle boats) and great entertainment at the Washington County Fairgrounds.  Directions: I-77 Exit 6 (Hwy 821)  S to Hwy 60.  Turn left and follow signs to Fairgrounds on right.  Go one block to entrance.  Camping halfway around the building.  W&E, dump available--$15??/night.  Contact Alice Robinson at 740-632-0936 or Wayne Sink at 513-267-4491

GEAR Pre-Rally: Oct. 17 & 18, 2010 at Hagan Stone Park, at 5920 Hagan-Stone Park Road,  Pleasant Garden NC 27313. We have sites C-2-C-13 @ $16.00 per night. New Years and January at Lake Panasoffkee:  Dec 29, 2010 to January 29??, 2011.  Christy Kawabata will again host a month long rally in Lake Panasoffkee, FL.  Participanrs park at various campgrounds around Lake Panasoffkee and Bushnell.  If you need recommendations, contact Christy.  New Years Eve will be celebrated at the Lake Panasoffkee Moose Lodge--yes girls it’s nice to dress up once in a while.  We have had as many as 114 attend this rally.  We will have many outings--all optional.  Come for the whole month,a week or just few days.  No rally fee, just pay for your qwn activituies.  Maybe:  McDade Battlefield Reenactment, swim with the manayees, Arabian Nights dinner theater,  Lipizzaner Stallions, pontoon boats, fishing, golfimg...eating.  There’s much to do in Central Florida, including the Mouse and Harry Potter.  We will leave to attend the Brooksville pre-rally
